ABOUT…
Menopause massage
Price: £70.
-
The word Menopause refers to the last or final menstrual period. When a woman has had no periods for 12 consecutive months, she is then considered to be Post-menopausal.
At menopause, loss of ovarian follicles, follicular development and ovulation results in loss of cyclical oestrogen and progesterone production. Most women become menopausal naturally between the ages of 45 and 55 years, with the average onset at around 51 years old.
Surgical menopause refers to menopause as a result of bilateral hysterectomy. Premature menopause or premature ovarian insufficiency may occur before the age of 40 due to natural ovarian function ceasing, following surgery to remove the ovaries, or as a result of chemo/ radiotherapy.
Menopause is considered “early” when it occurs between 40 and 45 years. Now that women live around one third of their lives after menopause, optimising physical and mental health during this period is becoming more important.
-
Menopause Massage is tailored specifically for women experiencing the transitional phases of menopause, including perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. This specialised form of massage therapy integrates techniques designed to address and alleviate the broad spectrum of symptoms associated with menopause. Unlike traditional massages, Menopause Massage focuses on the particular needs arising from hormonal changes during menopause, which can affect physical, emotional, and mental health.
The therapy combines elements of Swedish massage, which provides general relaxation and relief from muscle tension, with oncology massage techniques that are gentle enough for sensitive conditions. The massage targets areas commonly affected by hormonal changes, such as the head, neck, shoulders, and back, where tension tends to accumulate. By promoting relaxation and circulation, Menopause Massage helps to alleviate some of the most common discomforts of menopause, including hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings.
Furthermore, Menopause Massage incorporates acupressure and aromatherapy to enhance its effectiveness. Acupressure points are carefully selected to correspond with symptoms and are manipulated gently to rebalance energy within the body, which is thought to help regulate hormonal levels and alleviate symptoms. Aromatherapy enhances the emotional and psychological benefits of the massage, using essential oils chosen for their ability to influence hormones, mood, and overall sense of well-being. Oils such as clary sage, which is reputed to have estrogen-like properties, are commonly used to help balance hormone levels naturally.
The practice recognises that women’s bodies during menopause are particularly sensitive and require an approach that respects the body’s changed tolerance to pressure and manipulation. Menopause Massage is thus delivered with a customised intensity and pace to suit each woman’s specific needs, making it an invaluable therapy for easing the transition through menopause.
This unique treatment is a 4-point approach blending oncology massage techniques with traditional Swedish massage:Essential Oils
A Relaxing Massage
5 x Accupressure Points
Acupressure Magnet & Aftercare
It is recommended that you have 6 treatments over 20 week period to get to a maintenance level then 1 treatment every 6 weeks.
-
Menopause Massage functions by targeting the physiological and psychological symptoms of menopause through a holistic approach that incorporates various massage techniques, acupressure, and aromatherapy. The massage techniques used are specially adapted to address the sensitivity and specific health concerns during menopause, focusing on reducing tension, promoting relaxation, and improving circulation.
The method involves gentle strokes and kneading that help improve blood flow and muscle relaxation, crucial for alleviating menopausal symptoms like muscle aches and joint pain. The massage often focuses on the upper body—particularly the neck, shoulders, and back—areas where stress and tension accumulate and can exacerbate menopause symptoms.
Acupressure plays a crucial role in this type of massage by targeting specific points known to regulate hormonal balance and relieve symptoms like headaches, sleep disturbances, and emotional fluctuations. By applying pressure to these points, Menopause Massage can help stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, encouraging the body to enhance its hormonal function and manage symptoms more effectively.
Aromatherapy is incorporated through the use of essential oils that are selected based on their properties to help with hormonal balance and symptom relief. For example, peppermint oil can cool the body and is often used to alleviate hot flashes, while lavender oil is renowned for its calming and relaxing properties, helping to address insomnia and anxiety.
Together, these elements of Menopause Massage work synergistically to create a therapeutic experience that not only addresses the physical manifestations of menopause but also promotes emotional and psychological well-being. It’s a therapy that not only helps to relieve symptoms but also enhances a woman’s connection to her body during a time of significant change.
-
Menopause Massage offers a multitude of benefits that cater specifically to the needs of women going through the stages of menopause. This therapeutic approach helps mitigate the often challenging symptoms associated with this natural transition. The primary benefits include:
1. Alleviation of Physical Symptoms: Menopause can bring about a range of physical discomforts, from hot flashes and night sweats to joint pain and headaches. Menopause Massage helps reduce these symptoms by promoting relaxation and improving circulation, which in turn can help regulate body temperature and reduce pain and stiffness.
2. Emotional and Mental Support: The hormonal changes during menopause can significantly affect mood, leading to feelings of anxiety, depression, and irritability. The soothing nature of massage helps to decrease stress and promote a sense of well-being by stimulating the release of endorphins, the body’s natural mood lifters.
3. Improved Sleep: Many women experience sleep disturbances during menopause. Menopause Massage can enhance sleep quality by reducing stress and anxiety and alleviating other symptoms that can interfere with rest, such as muscle and joint pain.
4. Hormonal Balance: Through the use of specific acupressure techniques, Menopause Massage can help stimulate points on the body associated with hormonal regulation, aiding the body in finding a natural balance.
5. Enhanced Skin Elasticity and Tone: The massage oils and techniques used can also improve skin hydration and elasticity, combating the dryness and thinning that often accompany menopause.
6. Boost to General Health: Regular Menopause Massage sessions can enhance overall health by boosting the lymphatic system, which helps the body cleanse, and by supporting cardiovascular health through improved blood flow.
These benefits together make Menopause Massage an effective complementary therapy for managing menopause, helping women maintain an active, balanced, and healthy lifestyle during and after this transitional phase.
-
After a Menopause Massage treatment, many women report a profound sense of relaxation and relief, which are immediate effects that make this therapy particularly appealing. The combination of gentle massage techniques, acupressure, and aromatherapy tailored to address menopausal symptoms typically leaves clients feeling rejuvenated, both physically and emotionally.
Physically, you might notice a significant reduction in common menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and joint pains. The soothing strokes of the massage improve circulation, which helps in moderating body temperature fluctuations and reducing inflammation. This can lead to diminished intensity and frequency of hot flashes and an overall improvement in comfort levels. Additionally, the targeted massage techniques help alleviate muscle tension and joint stiffness, providing relief from the aches and pains that often accompany menopause.
Emotionally, Menopause Massage can have a calming effect on the nervous system. This is particularly beneficial since menopause can often bring about mood swings, anxiety, and stress. The nurturing touch of a skilled therapist combined with the therapeutic properties of essential oils promotes mental relaxation, helping to stabilise mood and improve overall emotional well-being. Many clients experience a decrease in anxiety and an enhanced mood for days following the treatment.
Moreover, the relaxation induced by the massage can contribute to better sleep quality. Women going through menopause often struggle with sleep disturbances, and the calming effects of Menopause Massage can make it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night.
In summary, after a Menopause Massage session, you can expect to feel less burdened by the physical and emotional symptoms of menopause.
With regular treatments, these benefits can accumulate, leading to sustained improvements in overall health and quality of life, making Menopause Massage an invaluable addition to managing the transitional phases of menopause effectively. -
Acupressure within Menopause Massage is utilised to target specific points that influence hormone regulation and symptom relief. This technique involves applying pressure to certain points on the body linked to the energy pathways or meridians that correspond to different organs and systems. Stimulating these points helps to balance energy flow, reduce discomfort, and promote healing, making it particularly beneficial for alleviating menopausal symptoms.
Acupressure Plaster to be worn between menopause massagesYou will also have an Acupressure Plaster to wear between appointments.... What is an acupressure plaster I hear you ask?
Simply It is a magnet with a plaster over the top to keep it in place. It works by applying constant stimulation to a specific acupressure point. It is traditionally used In chinese medicine for clearing heat and working with the body's energy channels to release symptoms.
-
Aromatherapy in Menopause Massage involves the use of essential oils that provide additional symptom relief. Essential oils are plant based, and some (like like clary sage, lavender, and peppermint ) contain "Phytoestrogens".
Essential oils containing Phytoestrogens can help balance hormones and relieve common symptoms such as:Mood changes

ABOUT…
Oncology massage
Price: £70 .
-
Oncology Massage is a specialised form of massage therapy tailored specifically for the needs of individuals undergoing cancer treatment as well as those in recovery or remission. This gentle approach adapts traditional massage techniques to be safe for cancer patients and survivors, addressing the unique physical and emotional challenges associated with cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Historically, massage was considered contraindicated for cancer patients due to misconceptions about its safety. However, recent research and clinical experience have shown that when performed by trained oncology massage therapists, it is not only safe but offers significant benefits. Oncology massage takes into account the full spectrum of cancer-related issues: the physical effects of the disease, the side effects of various treatments like chemotherapy and radiation, and the psychological impact of a cancer diagnosis.
Therapists, Like Kelly Ryan, skilled in oncology massage have specialised training that includes an understanding of cancer’s effects on the body, modifications necessary to safely work with complications such as lymphedema, and the ability to tailor sessions to the individual’s current treatment status, side effects, and long-term considerations. They use light, gentle strokes and avoid deep tissue techniques and pressure to sensitive areas, ensuring that the massage provides benefits without any harm.
The primary aim of oncology massage is to enhance the patient’s quality of life by alleviating symptoms, reducing stress, and providing much-needed relaxation and comfort. It’s considered an integrative approach that complements medical treatment by addressing the symptoms at the physical level and providing psychological benefits through touch and empathetic interaction, making a profound difference in the patient’s journey through cancer care.
-
This method modifies traditional massage techniques to accommodate the unique requirements and potential vulnerabilities of oncology patients, including lower bone density, skin sensitivity, and immune system concerns.
The technique primarily involves gentle strokes, light touch, and careful attention to the areas affected by cancer treatments. Unlike typical massage therapy, deep tissue work is avoided to prevent any undue pressure on sensitive areas that might be impacted by surgeries or radiation therapy. The focus is on enhancing lymphatic flow without over-stimulation, which is particularly important for patients at risk for or dealing with lymphedema—a common complication following lymph node removal or damage.
A critical aspect of how oncology massage works is its approach to customization. Each session is tailored to the individual’s current health, medical history, and treatment side effects. This personalized approach ensures that the massage provides benefits without any risk of harm. For example, positioning on the massage table may be adjusted based on surgical sites, ports, or catheters, and areas with radiation burns or bone metastases are treated with particular care or avoided altogether.
Oncology massage therapists are trained to understand the pathophysiology of cancer and its treatments, allowing them to apply their skills effectively within a safe framework. Their training includes knowledge of cancer therapies, side effects, and the emotional toll of cancer, which equips them to provide therapeutic touch that offers both physical relief and emotional support.
By mitigating symptoms such as pain, anxiety, nausea, and fatigue, oncology massage works to improve the quality of life for cancer patients, making it a valuable complement to conventional medical treatments.
-
Oncology Massage offers a wide range of benefits specifically designed to support individuals undergoing cancer treatments. Its primary advantage lies in its ability to significantly enhance the patient’s quality of life during such a challenging period. Here are some of the key benefits:
1. Pain Reduction: Gentle massage techniques help to alleviate pain without the need for additional medication, which can be particularly beneficial given the high levels of pharmaceuticals often already in a patient’s system.
2. Stress and Anxiety Relief: Oncology massage can induce a deep state of relaxation, helping to reduce anxiety and depression. The calming effect of touch and attentive care from a trained therapist helps mitigate the psychological impacts of cancer and its treatment.
3. Improved Sleep: Many cancer patients struggle with sleep due to discomfort or anxiety. The soothing nature of oncology massage promotes better sleep quality by easing muscle tension and creating a state of relaxation that makes it easier to fall and stay asleep.
4. Enhanced Immune Function: While direct stimulation of the immune system through massage in oncology patients is debated, the reduction of stress hormones can indirectly support immune function by creating a more conducive environment for the body to heal and protect itself.
5. Nausea Relief: Some studies and patient reports suggest that oncology massage helps reduce symptoms of nausea, which is a common side effect of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
6. Increased Energy Levels: By reducing pain, improving sleep, and decreasing emotional fatigue, patients often experience an improvement in overall energy levels.
7. Enhanced Circulation: The gentle manipulations in oncology massage help improve blood flow, which is vital for healing and recovery.
These benefits combined make oncology massage a compassionate, supportive therapy that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
-
After receiving an Oncology Massage, many patients report feeling a significant improvement in both their physical and emotional well-being.
The immediate effect often includes a profound sense of relaxation and reduction in stress, which for many leads to an improved outlook on their health journey.
Physically, patients might notice a decrease in pain levels, reduced stiffness, and a greater range of motion if mobility has been affected by treatments or the cancer itself.Emotionally, the nurturing experience of receiving focused, gentle care can help lift spirits and provide comfort during a time when patients often feel vulnerable and overwhelmed. This emotional relief is vital, as it can positively impact the overall healing process.
Additionally, the relaxation facilitated by the massage often leads to better sleep patterns that night, further aiding in recovery and quality of life.
Patients also frequently report feeling more energised after the session. This boost can be attributed to the alleviation of pain and the reduction of mental fatigue that often accompanies long-term medical treatments. The gentle stimulation of lymph flow during the massage can also help decrease the feeling of heaviness and lethargy caused by lymphedema, a common condition in cancer survivors.
Overall, the feelings of relief and rejuvenation following an Oncology Massage can be profound, making it a highly beneficial complement to traditional cancer treatments.

ABOUT…
REFLEXOLOGY
Price: £60
-
Reflexology is based on the concept that certain areas of the feet, hands, and ears correspond to specific organs, glands, and systems in the body. By applying gentle pressure to these reflex points, reflexology aims to improve the flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body, enhance circulation, and promote natural healing. This therapy is a safe, non-invasive way to address a variety of health concerns, boost relaxation, and improve vitality.
During a reflexology session, your trained therapist will apply targeted pressure to key reflex zones on the feet, which are thought to correspond to areas such as the digestive system, respiratory system, and nervous system. Reflexology is based on ancient healing traditions, particularly from China, Egypt, and India, and is widely recognised for its stress-relieving and therapeutic benefits.
Reflexology is an excellent option for anyone seeking a natural and holistic approach to improving their health. Whether you’re dealing with stress, digestive issues, chronic pain, or just need a deep sense of relaxation, reflexology offers a powerful solution. The therapy is gentle, non-invasive, and can be tailored to address your individual needs, making it suitable for people of all ages and health conditions.
-
The session begins with a brief consultation to understand your health concerns, followed by time to relax and unwind. You'll recline comfortably while the therapist works on your feet, hands, or ears.
Using their thumbs, fingers, and hands, the therapist will apply precise pressure to various reflex points. Some areas may feel slightly tender, as they may correspond to areas of imbalance or tension in the body.
Reflexology is a deeply calming therapy that often leads to a sense of relaxation and well-being. Most clients report feeling a heightened sense of calm and stress relief after the treatment.
After the session, your therapist may offer recommendations to further enhance your well-being. You’ll be encouraged to drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during the treatment.
-
One of the main benefits of reflexology is its ability to target the body’s systems in a holistic manner. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, reflexology helps to restore balance within the body, supporting both physical and emotional health. It’s ideal for individuals looking to improve their well-being through natural healing.
Stress Relief and Relaxation: Reflexology is highly effective in promoting relaxation by reducing stress and calming the nervous system. Many clients find it deeply soothing and beneficial for mental clarity.
Improved Circulation: Stimulating the reflex points encourages better blood flow throughout the body, which can improve oxygen delivery, speed up healing, and boost overall energy levels.
Pain Relief: Reflexology can help alleviate chronic pain, including headaches, back pain, and joint discomfort, by encouraging the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
Digestive Support: By targeting reflex points related to the digestive system, reflexology can help alleviate symptoms of indigestion, bloating, and constipation, promoting better digestion and gut health.
Boosted Immune System: Reflexology supports the body’s immune system by stimulating the lymphatic system, helping to remove toxins and improve overall health.
Improved Sleep: Many clients find that reflexology helps to improve the quality of their sleep, as it induces a calming, restorative effect on the body and mind.
Increased Energy and Vitality: Reflexology helps to re-balance the body’s energy systems, leaving you feeling refreshed, energized, and rejuvenated after each session.
Supports Emotional Health: Reflexology can help release emotional blockages and support emotional balance, promoting overall mental well-being and stability.
-
After a reflexology treatment, you may experience a deep sense of relaxation and calm, with many clients reporting feelings of lightness, warmth, or tingling in their feet. Some feel energised and refreshed, while others may feel pleasantly drowsy. Reflexology can also help improve circulation, promote emotional balance, and even enhance sleep quality in the days following a session. Occasionally, as your body processes toxins and rebalances, you might notice mild detox effects such as increased thirst or slight fatigue, which are natural and temporary. Overall, reflexology is designed to leave you feeling revitalised, grounded, and at peace, helping to restore harmony to both your body and mind.

ABOUT…
Thai Compress Massage
Price: £75 .
-
Thai Compress Massage, also known as Nuad Bo-Rarn, is a traditional Thai healing practice that uses herbal-filled pouches (compresses) to deliver targeted relief. The herbal compresses are steamed to release the healing properties of the herbs, which are then pressed and rolled over the body to target muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote deep relaxation.
The treatment combines the benefits of heat therapy, aromatherapy, and massage, creating a holistic experience that works on both the physical and emotional levels. The combination of soothing warmth, the therapeutic properties of the herbs, and the skilled techniques of the therapist creates an effective treatment for stress, pain, and tight muscles.
-
Kelly will begin by discussing your health concerns and identifying areas of tension. Then, you’ll lie down in a comfortable position, allowing you to relax and prepare for the treatment.
Kelly will prepare a blend of healing herbs, often including ingredients like ginger, lemongrass, turmeric, and kaffir lime, which are wrapped in a cloth and steamed. The heat from the compress helps release the herbs' natural oils and healing properties.
The steamed compresses are then gently pressed onto key areas of your body, often focusing on the back, shoulders, neck, and legs. The warmth helps to loosen tight muscles, ease tension, and promote blood circulation.
In addition to the herbal compress application, the therapist may perform a combination of traditional Thai massage techniques, including gentle stretching and acupressure, to release muscle tension and improve flexibility.
After the treatment, you will feel deeply relaxed and refreshed. Your therapist may offer guidance on how to maintain the benefits of the session and encourage you to drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins.
-
Thai Compress Massage offers a unique and highly effective approach to relaxation and healing. The combination of heat, herbs, and traditional massage techniques creates a deeply rejuvenating experience that works holistically on both the body and mind. Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, stress, muscle tension, or simply want to unwind, this therapy provides an all-encompassing solution.
Unlike other massage therapies, Thai Compress Massage incorporates the use of steamed herbal compresses, which enhance the benefits of the treatment by providing targeted relief with the added power of aromatherapy and heat. This makes it ideal for individuals seeking more intense relief from muscle stiffness, joint pain, or stress.
Muscle Relaxation: The combination of heat and herbal compresses helps to deeply relax muscles, making Thai Compress Massage especially effective for individuals with chronic muscle pain, stiffness, or tension.
Pain Relief: The warmth and herbs used in the compresses help to ease joint and muscle pain, making it ideal for conditions like arthritis, back pain, and sports injuries.
Improved Flexibility: Thai Compress Massage incorporates stretching and gentle manipulation, which helps to improve joint flexibility and mobility, making it a great option for athletes and active individuals.
Detoxification: The therapeutic herbs in the compresses help stimulate circulation and encourage the body’s natural detoxification process, flushing out toxins and promoting healthy skin.
Stress Relief: The calming heat from the compresses, combined with the relaxing effects of the massage, helps to reduce stress and promote emotional well-being.
Improved Circulation: The application of the warm compresses boosts blood flow, helping to oxygenate tissues and enhance overall circulation throughout the body.
Aromatherapy Benefits: The natural herbs used in Thai Compress Massage provide aromatherapy benefits, promoting relaxation and emotional healing with their soothing fragrances.
Enhanced Energy and Vitality: By improving circulation and releasing physical tension, Thai Compress Massage helps to recharge the body’s energy, leaving you feeling revitalized and refreshed.
